6 months until Christmas
Can you believe it? In exactly six months it will be Christmas again. Then the madness starts all over again: decorating, Secret Santa, and countless family parties. And all that with temperatures hovering around freezing. Well, we don't feel like Christmas yet.
Fortunately, we inform you with this article in time (!) that Christmas is already before the door and you best start now with the preparations. Important tips for this we now present to you.
Tips for today
The clock is ticking! Only 6 months left, that's 24 weeks until Christmas. That means you only have about 180 days left to get everything ready and planned. Okay, we're starting to get stressed out too - we haven't taken care of anything yet. What do you have to start with to get everything done in time?
Buy gingerbread
If you're also starting to panic, you should first calm down. To do that, eat some delicious gingerbread. Last week we already got messages from our buddies that the first gingerbread and dominoes were spotted in the supermarket. And as they say. In the beginning, they are still fresh and you should strike right away.
So off you go to the nearest supermarket. Stock up on plenty of goodies - you'll need them for Christmas planning. Here's an important tip: it's best to take your cooler bag with you. Melted gingerbread isn't very tasty ...
Plan the first gifts
After you've calmed down a bit, you should start planning your Christmas presents right away. It's best to step it up a notch: 180 days go by quickly and suddenly it's Christmas. Start a big folder of ideas and ask your loved ones what they want for Christmas this year - they've probably already thought about it.
You should also start making Advent calendars. Ideally, you should finish this time-consuming task by September, so you won't be pressed for time.
Already get out the winter clothes
Well, since Christmas is just around the corner, you should start getting out your winter clothes. Clear out all the thick sweaters, scarves, and hats from the closet and wash them. If the weather changes soon, you'd better be prepared. We also recommend that you move your summer clothes to the back of the closet - you don't need them anymore.
Sample cooking for Christmas
When preparing for Christmas, you can't miss planning your menu. The best thing to do is to start cooking now. Goose and red cabbage are also delicious in June. When it's really warm outside and the neighbors are grilling, the flavor comes out even better. Unfortunately, we couldn't find out where you can get goose in the summer - but please let us know if you find a solution. Our test cooking is in two weeks ...
In this course, you should already send out your invitations. Develop a seating plan and a precise schedule - then you will be well prepared. From experience, we advise you to add a deadline to the invitation. Otherwise, people tend to forget. After all, everyone has to know where they will be at Christmas by mid-July!
