Why NerdSpot exists
The internet remembers everything. Finding the good bits is harder.
Nerd culture is full of dates with stories attached: a first appearance that changed comics, a release that rewired gaming, a scientific birthday, or a gloriously obscure holiday that deserves five minutes in the spotlight.
NerdSpot turns those signals into an editorial archive. The calendar helps you discover what is happening; the blog follows the most interesting rabbit holes further.

NerdSpot started with an idea from Hen: bring the birthdays, premieres and wonderfully odd holidays of nerd culture together in one place. A hackathon at PCSG turned that idea into the first version, built with QUIQQER, which Hen also develops.

How the articles are made
From a shared calendar to a new story.
The Nerd Calendar brings together the work of many people who collected dates and background information. That shared collection is where our blog stories begin.
The calendar sets the daily rhythm: each day with a nerd event gets a matching blog post. AI writes the articles using specialised workflows. Hen is responsible for choosing topics, checking facts and publishing.
